Technology Optimization

CMM improves the technical and the business processes involved in the management, development and maintenance of information technology. By initiating CMM, organizations of every size can effectively reduce their IT costs while increasing productivity.

Today’s CIOs need to enhance the performance and efficiency of their departments and staff. To achieve this goal, we conduct an initial gap analysis of the client company’s IT processes, procedures and personnel.  The analysis serves as the foundation for continuous improvement, reduce costs, and increased productivity.

This assessment identifies the organization’s current state then maps it against desired outcomes. These outcomes are based on the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) developed by the Software Engineering Institute, CMM is the de facto standard for improving both technical and business-related processes involved in the management, development, implementation and maintenance of information technology.

CMM

The CMM approach integrates proven techniques into an ascending structure of competency that enables the CIO or IT Director appraise their organizational maturity and process capabilities, establish priorities, and implement improvements. The CMM model reflects various organizational levels of capability. A capability level consists of best practices for a process area. Satisfying the capability-level requirements for a particular process means that you are now better able to perform, control, and improve performance in that area. Capability levels build on each other and enable you to track, evaluate, and demonstrate progress as you move forward.

Areas of assessment and improvement include:

- Financial Management
- Strategic Sourcing
- Service Management
